The original Lemonwood Elementary School was constructed in 1981 and modernized in 2014, serving students in grades K-6. This project includes demolition of the existing facility and construction of a new school on the 9.9-acre site. Following construction of the new facility, Lemonwood serves up to 900 students in grades K-8. Featuring 28 general purpose classrooms, four kindergarten classrooms, three science/flex lab classrooms, two special education classrooms, support facilities, administration areas, media center, food service, multipurpose rooms, and physical education spaces, the new Lemonwood school is prepared to meet the needs of Oxnard’s growing community.
