Programmed for an enrollment of 2,025 students, the South Region Academy for Multilingual Arts & Sciences is a comprehensive high school with an emphasis on an integrated curriculum. The design of the campus combines the school’s extensive academic and athletic program requirements with the advantages of an intimate-scale learning environment. From its initial conception, the campus was designed with four identical small learning communities arrayed around a central quad to foster cooperation and interaction between a large and diverse student population. The quad provides open space and links the learning communities to the administration, gymnasium, multipurpose areas, and other shared facilities.
