The Groundwater Reliability Improvement Program Advanced Water Treatment Facility (AWTF) is a fully advanced treatment (FAT) water recycling facility capable of producing 10,000 acre-feet of highly purified recycled water per year. The FAT facility includes microfiltration, reverse osmosis, and advanced oxidation/disinfection treatment processes to meet the desired water quality objectives and comply with regulatory/operational permit requirements. The AWTF is situated on a 5.2-acre parcel and is configured for maximum efficiency to accommodate advanced water treatment process equipment, chemical handling, and storage areas, a visitor/community/education center, vehicular/pedestrian circulation, and a water feature with drought-tolerant landscaping.
