DESIGNER (Santa Ana, Oakland)
SVA Architects is searching for a thoughtful, self-motivated, and collaborative Designer with 5-10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate is a natural designer with good leadership and communication skills. Candidate will work closely with Design Staff and Firm Partners to provide design direction for architectural and planning projects from Concept through Design Development. This position will also partner with Project Managers to ensure design intent is met through CD and CA phases. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple projects of distinct typologies such as Multifamily, TODs, Hospitality, Institutional, and Education. A minimum five years’ experience is required.
The ideal candidate has high proficiency on Revit, Sketch Up, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite and can resolve design issues with no direction. The candidate is also able to express design thinking clearly and concisely to firm leaders, colleagues, clients, community, and planning boards and has excellent presentation and graphics skills. An exceptional portfolio of recent work is required for consideration.
