Background

Dean has more than 30 years of experience in the architectural industry, including managing transportation, utility, multi-family housing, institutional, commercial, historical, educational, and military projects through all phases of planning, assessment, design, and construction administration. In addition to over 25 years of working with architectural firms, Mr. Hawkins also spent 5 years managing projects for a general contractor. He is knowledgeable of construction procedures, building codes and agency approval requirements. He has extensive experience preparing detailed cost estimates and integrating sustainable design practices into the design. Since 2003, Mr. Hawkins has managed four different commercial projects that have achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. These include one LEED Platinum, two LEED Gold and one LEED Silver certification.

Outside of the office, Dean enjoys time with family, hiking the great outdoors and traveling.
