The Allan Hancock College Public Safety Training Complex is home to the college’s police and fire technology (fire science, fire academies, wild land fire, environmental technology, emergency medical services) training facility. The new public safety complex addresses the needs of the college and provides shared administrative spaces, locker rooms, apparatus/vehicle storage, and support spaces. The project also incorporates technical skill training facilities including a burn tower, shooting range, scenario village, fitness room, and additional outdoor training grounds. A new 1.3-mile Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) and high-speed strategic driving course is also provided for training purposes. The complex is certified LEED Silver.
