Fremont Unified School District
112,500 sq. ft. | 18 acres
This project involves the conversion of an existing junior high into the new Horner Middle School. Through a combination of new construction and modernization, the SVA team will deliver a hybridized design that meets the District’s growing student enrollment on a site of approximately 18 acres. The vision for this sustainable campus is to accommodate students in sixth through eighth grade from diverse backgrounds and abilities. SVA has provided a design that utilizes available playfields to accommodate the construction of a new replacement campus, while allowing the existing campus to remain fully operational. This approach precludes the necessity for interim housing during the various phases of the program.
