UC Davis PSEL Data Science and AI Center

UC Davis is cultivating the innovative fields of data science and artificial intelligence, creating space for programs to thrive and collaborate in the Physical Sciences Engineering Library. The basement and first floor of the PSEL are being renovated to create office and meeting spaces to accommodate the new interdisciplinary data science major and programs like the TETRAPODS Institute for Data Science; the Center for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Research, or CeDAR; and the AI Institute for Next Generation Food Systems.

The existing partitions and finishes are being removed, and replaced with modern offices, open workstations, and conference rooms. The project also involves upgrades to the restrooms, drink fountains and kitchenettes. The shared space between data sciences and AI is designed to foster collaboration and interdisciplinary research.
