SVA provided architectural design services for this 400-bed graduate student housing complex as well as a 7,000 sq. ft. addition to the Infant Toddler Center at the University of California, Irvine. As the first phase of a master planned development, Verano Place creates a sense of place for the community through landscaped open spaces, building courtyards, and socially-activated linkages. The mission of this project is to create an affordable model for the future redevelopment of housing through increased density, community-oriented spaces, sustainable design, and incremental development flexibility. Verano Place received 5 LEED Platinum certifications.
