Uptown Oakland is a true urban renewal project incorporating a mix of retail, commercial, entertainment, and residential uses. Located between San Pablo and Telegraph, just north of the recently renovated Civic Center and adjacent to BART stations, Uptown Oakland includes 60,000 sq.ft. of retail/commercial space, 1,200 mixed-income apartments, 400 off-campus graduate student housing units for U.C. Berkeley and 900 condominiums when completed. The low-rise rental units and urban loft-style apartments will be located between 21st and 18th Streets, with ambling paseos linking the lofts and residential towers to the vibrant entertainment district. Uptown Oakland is LEED Silver certified.
